About Event

The department of Mechanical Engineering in collaboration with the Institution of Engineers (India) , IE(I) Kattankulathur Local center organises a SMART AGRO STORAGE HACKATHON for Engineers Day 2024.

Attractive Cash prizes worth Rs.25,000/- will be awarded for the winning top three teams!!

Problem Statements : SMART AGRO STORAGE - Development of Working Model
Design and develop a Solar-Powered, Smart Storage System that utilizes IoT sensors to monitor and control environmental conditions in real-time, optimizing the storage environment for maximum freshness and shelf life of fresh agricultural products while reducing reliance on the electrical grid.
Technical Constraints

· Storage Volume : 5L

· Type of products to be stored : Vegetables / Fruits / Greens / Milk

· Sustainable materials for construction/solar powered

· Temperature and humidity monitoring

· Duration of storage: 3-5 Hrs


Team formation:
A maximum of 5 students across any disciplines of Engg & Technology can form a team to participate.

Student team with IEI members: Rs. 250 /-

without IEI members: Rs. 450/-
